This is an important appeal from Walking with Maasai (WwM). We are looking for regular donations to help us deliver a number of sustainable development initiatives in the Maasai community in southern Kenya.
Over the past 3 years WwM have seen considerable success. We have improved adult literacy, medical care, built a new school, improved nutrition through new farming approaches in the Shamba Project, empowered women through the Beadwork Project and much, much more.
However, in order to sustain and grow these projects we need to increase our income to £3,000 per month through regular donations to cover the ongoing costs of the various projects.
Any regular donation you make really makes a difference. You could donate from £5 per month to £100 per month – it’s up to you.
Some examples of how your donation could help:
· £5.50 per month would fund one person attending our literacy programme
· £12 per month would train a farmer in the Shamba Project to provide for his family
· £20 per month would educate 5 children at the WwM school
A regular monthly gift is the most effective way that you can support the work of WwM. It not only sustains the projects that are benefiting the Maasai community but helps us plan for the future.
